Tangier Island - September 2022

Photos from my flight out to Tangier Island. Tangier Island (Airport KTGI) is situated in the Chesapeake Bay and inhabited by less than 1,000 people. As water levels continue to rise it disappears more and more into the Chesapeake Bay. The airport sits at 5 feet above sea level and is a beautiful arrival to the tiny island. Out of all the airports in Virginia, it was one of my favorite to visit and it couldn't have been a better choice as my last stamp for the Virginia Aviation Ambassador program. Had a great dinner at the famous Lorraine's Seafood Restaurant.
